About – The Soul Behind Calmessence
I didn’t create Calmessence because I was always calm.
I created it because I was desperate to find calm. For years, I lived with anxiety and emotional fatigue. My mind was scattered, and so was my space. I felt disconnected from my surroundings, and in many ways, from myself.Searching for peace, I started to travel — not to escape, but to understand. In Kyoto, I was drawn into the quiet rhythm of Shinto rituals. In Bali, scent was part of every prayer and intention.
In Phuket and Rio, I spent time with spiritual mentors and lived alongside local communities, learning how they used plants, oils, light, and color to stay balanced and grounded. These travels were transformative.
But what changed me the most was what I brought home.I began changing little things.
During the day, I’d diffuse jasmine oil in my burner — it lifted the heaviness.
I painted my walls sage green, a tone that felt like a soft exhale.
I brought in certain plants — not because they were trendy, but because they made me feel safe.
When I couldn’t sleep, I reached for lavender oil. It didn’t cure everything, but it helped me breathe.I bought sunny yellow pillowcases — just so my mornings could start with a little joy.
One day, I even painted my mother’s room in blue, hoping it would bring her the calm she hadn’t felt in years.
And that’s when I knew:
We don’t just live in our homes.
Our homes live in us.
Every scent, every texture, every shade we choose is a conversation with our emotions. That discovery changed everything.I started to study more deeply: color therapy, symbolic design, emotional styling.
I stopped decorating just for beauty, and started creating with feeling and slowly, I became someone new — softer, more aligned, and more myself.I gathered everything I learned, and decided to share it.
